prumaOS
A software product built ground-up for Pruma: one system that runs a tattoo shop’s front door, book, chairs and money—white-labeled to every shop it lands in.
Pruma set out to give independent tattoo shops the thing the industry never built for them—not another calendar bolted onto a salon app, but an operating system that understands deposits, walk-ins, chairs, and the way a shop actually runs a day. SIDES designed and built the whole thing: product, brand, and platform.

The Challenge.
Most shops run on a paper book, a group chat, and three apps that don’t talk to each other. The booking tools on the market were built for hair salons—they don’t know what a deposit is, can’t hold a walk-in, and have no idea what happens at the chair. Pruma needed software that speaks the trade, and a way to put it in any shop in the country without rebuilding it each time.

The Approach.
We built one system for the door, the book, the chairs, and the money—front desk, schedule, client book, deposits and checkout—designed for the screens a shop already has: the counter tablet, the artist’s phone, the wall. Every studio gets its own instance and its own domain, themed to its logo, colors and type, so the software wears the shop’s brand instead of ours. Opening day is a guided walk: six doors, left to right, same as walking the shop, and a studio goes from signed to running in an afternoon.

The Result.
prumaOS shipped 1.0 in September 2026 and runs a real shop every day—Fun City Tattoo, Manhattan’s oldest—with a fleet of studios onboarding behind it. Each stack deploys, migrates and monitors itself, phoning home so a closed door gets noticed before a shop notices. The platform also builds each shop’s public website out of the same data the front desk uses, so the site and the book can never disagree.
